Style Formula

Autumn's on it's way... but don't resign yourself to black just yet.

A pretty statement blouse with skinny jeans, then neutral footwear and accessories sums up my style formula perfectly (no pun intended, seriously).

Team with a chunky knit and scarf to keep you cosy.

1. Handbag in canvas and leather, Z Spoke by Zac Posen, £107 (was £215, 50% off)
 2. Tank Top, Reiss, £39 (was £79, 51% off)
 3. Gold plated necklace, Banana Republic, £13 (was £26, 50% off)
 4. Ankle Boots in suede, River Island, £30 (was £70,  57% off)
 5. Skinny Jeans, D&G, £112 (was £160, 30% off)

Gone Dotty

Move over stripes, polka dots are having their moment this autumn.  The trend was seen on the runways at Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and M Missoni, but of course it's just as accessible on the high street.

The Designers

Marc Jacobs silk-mix scarf - £380 - click here to buy

Marc Jacobs clutch - £1,025 - click here to buy

Marc Jacobs sweater - £825 - click here to buy

River Island jumpsuit - £40 - buy

Stella McCartney flats - £225 - buy

Stella McCartney - Polka Dot Dress - £1525 - buy
Warehouse's version - £60 - buy

The Celebs

Alexa in a spotty tea dress
Daisy Lowe in a Peacocks dress
Jessie J

Wow what an outfit! I can't really find the words to say, so make of it what you will.  In any case, the top is remarkably similar to the Warehouse dress above.

Mollie King pays a little nod to the dotted trend.

BeyoncĂ© rocked up in this Marc Jacobs number, about £1,187.  Not the singer's best wardrobe choice in my opinion - the colouring is completely wrong for her complexion, and her hair and accessories are completely misplaced with a quirky dress like this.
